     Anane Olatunji (ah-NAH-neh Oh-lah-TUNE-jee) has led an atypical career. Though raised in an impoverished community in New Orleans, he excelled academically. At age 15, he left home on a scholarship to an elite prep school and later graduated from two Ivy League universities. He then taught students from kindergarten to college; he also has published research in the Harvard Educational Review. 

     In time, however, Dr. Olatunji discovered subtle yet serious contradictions between schooling and success. He established his own firm, Align Education, to address this concern. His career is now dedicated to helping others recognize, develop, and defend the need for emotional fulfillment in education so that youth thrive in school as well as in life! 

     Like no one else, then, Dr. Olatunji knows his subject. With more than thirty years of diverse experience in the field, he not only has been to the "mountain top" but also "around the block."
