Anane Olatunji (ah-NAH-neh  oh-lah-TOON-jee) has dedicated his extensive career to education and youth development. He continues to work as a speaker, trainer, author and consultant, inspiring educators across the United States and abroad—in both English and Spanish.

 

     Dr. Olatunji is founder and president of Align Education, LLC, based in New Orleans, his hometown. Under his leadership, the consulting firm has provided professional development and program evaluation services to educational organizations nationwide funded at more than $75 million.

     Previously, Dr. Olatunji served on the faculty at Dillard University in New Orleans where students affectionately dubbed him “Dr. O.” He was awarded the distinguished Verret Teaching Prize by the provost who described his first-year performance as “exceptional.”

 

     Dr. Olatunji’s commitment is deeply rooted in his personal journey. Raised in a family of nine in an impoverished community, he nonetheless excelled academically, earning several degrees including Tulane, Teachers College, and Harvard University.

     Like no one else, then, Dr. O knows his subject. With more than three decades of diverse experience in the field, he not only has been to the "mountain top" but also "around the block."
